1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

A. Journal Data and Personal Content

  • Local Storage: Lumi is designed to be a safe, private space for your thoughts. Any text, emotional states, reflections, journal entries (“Feed” or “Nights” screens), or customizations you create are saved locally on your device.
  • No Server Access: We do not upload, read, or store your personal journal entries or text on external cloud servers. Your personal expressions remain completely sandboxed on your physical device.

B. Purchase and Subscription Information (Monetization)

To provide premium features, virtual items, and subscription management, the App integrates with third-party payment infrastructure.

  • Google Play Billing: All financial transactions, subscriptions, and purchases are processed directly through the official Google Play Store billing system. We do not collect or store credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or billing addresses.
  • RevenueCat: We utilize RevenueCat to handle subscription receipts, purchase validation, and entitlement management. RevenueCat receives an anonymous or pseudonymous identifier and purchase receipt metadata from Google Play to verify purchase history. No real-world identity or financial details are shared with RevenueCat through our integration.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

To operate effectively, the App utilizes trusted third-party SDKs and services. These services may collect information used to identify your device or track transaction details under their respective privacy policies.

    Purpose: Core app stability, distribution, Android environment maintenance, and account services.

3. Data Retention and Security

  • Local Data Risk: Because your text data and progress are stored entirely inside the application sandbox on your physical device, this data is lost if you uninstall the App or perform a factory reset. We recommend using your operating system’s native device backup options if you wish to retain app data across upgrades.
  • Transaction Logs: Anonymized transactional data, such as active subscription tokens, is retained by Google Play and RevenueCat as long as your account or subscription remains valid to ensure seamless service delivery.

4. Children’s Privacy

Lumi does not knowingly collect or request personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided external third-party identifiers or billing information without your consent, please contact us so we can take immediate corrective measures.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / Regional Laws)

Depending on your country or region, you may have specific rights regarding data privacy, including:

  • The right to view or request deletion of transaction logs handled by our payment partners.
  • Since your personal journal content is held entirely on your phone, you retain full control over it and can modify or delete it instantly at any time from within the App.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. We will notify you of changes by publishing the updated policy on our official website or within the App and changing the Effective Date at the top of this page.
